Marathon

So its finally done. I am really proud of myself for finishing and it was probably the hardest thing I have ever done. Finished in around 4:18. It is really amazing how much I hurt right now, even two days later. Here is a mini breakdown for anyone interested.

Mile 2: Hasn't thinned out much yet, still moving pretty slow

Mile 5: Getting into a nice groove, still have the adrenaline pumping and dont feel at all tired yet.

Mile 6: See my friends wife and other friends gf, which is cool. They had a sign.

Mile 13: Halfway done and don't feel tired yet. I might actually be able to do this easier then I thought.

Mile 15: Uh oh, hit the first wall. Legs starting to get heavy and a cramp in the side doesn't help either

Mile 16: See a ridiculously hot girl on the side cheering. It helps for motivation. She was so fucking hot.

Mile 17: Fuck I have to piss but don't want to stop

Mile 18: Shit i really have to piss

Mile 19: It didn't go away

Mile 20: There's a port o potty, but there is a line, no way I'm waiting

Mile 21: I go in the woods. Once I stop running my legs instantly tighten up and i lose all momentum and the pain is intense.

Mile 22: I'm moving at a snails pace from the pee-stop. I want to stop and walk so bad but wont let myself do it.

Mile 23: Still cant get in a groove, shooting pains start going up my left leg in addition to my knee, ankle, and shins that are both killing me at this point.

Mile 24: Still coasting slowly, only 2 miles left.

Mile 25: Start to pick up the pace a little bit, see some friends and start moving really fast.

Mile 26: One last push and start sprinting

Mile 26.2: Sprint over the line and am done. Muscles instantly tighten up and within a minute i realize that it is in fact freezing cold and notice all the runners are shivering. Grab a free poncho but it doesn't help too much. Grab a bunch of water and a banana that feels like it might come up at any time.
