I just made a post on my blog about how bloggers suck at poker in blogger tournaments. Is this really what my life has become? Not sure what is sadder,
a) that I have a blog
b) that people are reading/have read my blog
c) that people commented about my blog post in my blog about bloggers playing badly in blogger tourneys

Bloggers?
I'm amazed that the play is so bad in these tourneys. Does everyone who plays have a blog about poker? I would assume that at the worst everyone in these has to at least read about poker right? How can anyone be open limping on the button if they know anything about poker? How can anyone call bets ~late in the tourney with 2 BB behind if they know anything about poker? I have seen both these things happen multiple times in the 4 tourneys I played that I wanted to play in and I just dont get it.
It doesn't seem to be the people who know everyone who suck the most, so i guess that makes sense but as an "up and coming" blogger i felt it needed to be said. But I hope the poeple that suck continue to suck. Ans side note, I hear that all the cool bloggers link to a lot of blogs so if you want me to link to your blog, let me know. God, this blogging shit is dumb and i barely know how to form a sentence but anyway, fun stuff. Peace out.

Bubble Master
First two Blogger tourney I got LB points but bubbled just out of the money. Sunday got 20th and top 18 paid. Shoved with AQ, ran into KK, nothing I could have done.
And then last night (Monday) in the 6-max I overplayed an OESD with only one card to play because a big stack who was playing very unorthodox looked weak to me with a turn lead on a 567J rainbow board and i thought he would fold to my shove. He had a set so I guess it was a mistake, but not sure if thats ROT though.
Been a fun few tourneys so far, I wish they started earlier because I wake up at 5 for work and all. Tonight is stud and I assume my edge will be greater in the non NLHE games being the master HORSE player I am. LOL

Bubble in Borgata Presidents Day 1k
So had off today and decided to hit up the Borgata for the 1k + 100 at 11 a.m. Get down there just in time for the first hand. The start is not kind to me as I don't get a playable hand until the last hand before the end of level 2 (40 minute levels). About midway through level 3 I win a few nice pots with my only showdown being Jacks vs. tens and I am up to about 26k. Then there are about 5 minutes left before the first break when I get TT in MP. Blinds 100/200 and I raise a limper to 800. Limper calls and we get a flop of JQ4 with 2 clubs. I c-bet 1300 and he calls. The turn brings a red ten to give me the set. I bet 2600 and he calls. River is a sick K and he open shoves for about 9k. I have about 10k behind and tank pretty badly. I have him on a busted club draw but did it include an A. I really dont think so but dont think I can call more then pot and lay down. He shows 9T of hearts so good laydown dwal. Should have been easy fold but i just didnt think he had the A.
So I still am in good shape and we start losing people. (120 started, 18 pay, 1st 37k)
I start getting a lot more active and work up my stack to about 50k which is probably about average with 21 left with 3 tables of 7 (1k/2k blinds, 300 ante). I get 88 in MP and pop to 5k. CO calls, Button calls, BB calls. WTF. I mean the play was bad but this is ridiculous. flop comes Q94 rainbow. I am a puss and dont c-bet into 3 callers and it gets checked around. 8 peel on the turn to give me the set. BB bets 5k, I raise to 14k CO shoves (and has me covered) 2 folds, I instacall and he tables KTd which is a gutshot and a flush draw he picked up on the turn. The guttie hits and I am gone in 20th for a bubble that is hard to swallow. I probably should have cbet the flop there but didnt want to do it into 3 players. Cant believe this fucker flat calls a raise with KTs on the bubble.
Oh well so goes it. I win that pot I have over 100k and can bully the shit out of the table.

I suck at BR management!
Ok I have no business having 11k online. Played some 100/200 O8b and did ok, but got killed in 10/20 PLO8 and lost about 3k the past 2 days. Took 70% of it offline because i have no BR management skills. So going to lay low for a few days and just play in the TPOAPC and maybe some small stakes NL cash. If you see me at FT playing dumb stakes, please yell at me.

Borgata Poker Open
Ok all my faithful readers (both of them), I am back. So I went and met roddy and lucko at the Borgata last weekend and planned on playing some cash and maybe the $1500 event on sat. Got down there late Friday night and played a bit of 2/5 NL, ended up down about $600, when some crazy Norwegian guy sucked out on me twice. AA < K4s and another crappy hand i dont remember. I still play the event saturday anyway on no sleep.
I stay pretty much avergae stack throughout Day 1, and play really tight and pretty much double once an hour to stay alive. At about 1:00 a.m., we finally make the money after some very slow hand for hand play. We end Day 1 about 30 minutes later, and I bag 123k in chips, which is almost exactly average with 39 left. I go over and look at the payouts, and see that 1st is 207k, which would be nice. I rail LJ and have a few drinks, and bet every flop at a random table red/black with sucko for $100. I am up 200 but then we start flipping coins and a miraculous 7 tails in a row hit and i end up down $500. LJ chops the second chance with a monster stack for 12k.
I get a few hours sleep and come back around noon (play starts at 2:00) and grab some food. I start at table 1 with two small stacks behind me, and the big stack pretty far away.
I proceed to run over the table, and in the first level back, I go from 123k to about 320k without showing down a handand soon after we are down to 27 and redraw for new seats. I move to table 3 and my luck quickly changes. Every raise gets repopped, and quite quickly, I am back to under 200k. Card-deadness (yes its a word now) kicks in and i start to get blinded down. Luckily, we get down to 18 so we can re-draw for seats so hopefully i can get some cards. No such luck, I get blinded down to about 60k which is about 5 BB's and make a bad RR shove with no fold equity. I end up in 16th for about 5k. Pissed but still my first big cash in a big event like that.
To add to it, monday night I get 2nd in a 120+9 on Full Tilt for about 4700. I got into HU with a 3:1 chip lead but A7< K7 and then K8< Q7 and I get 2nd and yell at my computer.
On the running front, since the marathon, I have slacked, but have been lifting and hopefully will pick the running back up when the weather gets nicer. Peace out.
